| Beth is owned by three Smiling Dutchmen, better known as Keeshonden or Kees for short. She believes in well-balanced dogs with “Titles at Both Ends” and trains her dogs in Conformation, Obedience, and Agility. Each of her dogs has earned a High in Trial at some time in their Obedience careers. Although her oldest dog Sprite did not get her Championship, she did manage to obtain dual Utility titles in both AKC and
UKC, as well as multiple Agility titles. Sprite was Beth’s first love, but has now gone to the Rainbow Bridge. Beth’s current oldest Maia has earned both her Championship and her Utility Dog titles. Maia was the first dog in Colorado to earn the Agility Championship Excellent title in
UKC. Maia also completed both her AKC Masters and Master Jumpers in Agility before retiring to the couch. Beth’s middle “child” is Jasper, aka “Wild Boy”, who is also a Champion. He obtained a High in Trial at his first obedience event, and went on to earn a Dog World award while competing for his CD and now has his
CDX. Jasper was the second dog in Colorado to earn the Agility Championship Excellent title in
UKC, and has now earned the MAD title in USDAA, all of the Elite titles in
NADAC, and the coveted AKC MACH title in AKC agility. Beth is now working a new youngster, Pip, who is already showing great potential in his first trials and appears to be a Border Collie in a fur coat. Beth has been training in Obedience for 13 years and Agility for 12. She is an instructor in both Obedience and Agility, for everything from puppies to competition level classes. Beth also travels frequently as a judge for UKC Obedience Agility and for AKC Agility. |
