Kae has been with the teaching staff at BSKD since 1995. She began her career in dogs in 1974 with "Tiny", a St. Bernard. Kae showed Tiny in obedience through his CDX. She has also owned and trained three other St. Bernards, a Belgian Terveran, Sheltland Sheepdog, Cardigan Welsh Corgi, her grand dog Flash the Basset Hound and longest owned breed, the Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Kae has two daughters, Jo and Dayna. Kae led and Jo and Dayna were members in 4-H dog projects for many years. Riz, Kae's youngest dog, earned a TD and a herding instinct certificate in 2001 and they are actively working on a TDX/VST, Novice obedience and Novice Agility. What a fun dog! Kae has earned the following titles on her dogs. 7 CDs, 4 CDXs, 8 TDs, 7 TDXs, 1 VST and CT, 6 Champions (a family affair), 2 Herding Instinct Certificates and 4 Canine Good Citizen certificates. She is a member of the Denver Foothills Tracking Association and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of the Rockies, and works at all the Tracking Tests and Obedience Trials. In her spare time, Kae works full time as a hairstylist, quilts and is an avid reader. Dog subjects, Stephen King, and Dean Kuntz are among her favorites. |
