| My name is Robin. I have been involved in dogs for over thirty years. In the beginning; Australian Shepherds (yes, before AKC recognized them), Akitas, Borzoi, PBGV, and my final and permanent love for over 20 years, ALASKAN MALAMUTES. My husband, Joseph, and I have been fairly successful in the Conformation ring. In the last eight years our dogs have won our Top Twenty event three times. In 2001 with "Strutz", now a Veteran, and in 2005 and 2006 with his grandson "Stewart". Both of these dogs are Breeder Owner Handled. We have put obedience titles on our Malamutes and have participated in weight pulls. Our oldest daughter aged out of Junior Showmanship, served 6 years with the Air force, is married and focusing on her college degree. Our youngest daughter, Katie Jo, is a Junior and was Best Junior Handler at the 2005 and 2006 Alaskan Malamute Nationals. We are a family very dedicated to the Alaskan Malamute and the dog Fancy. I am an AKC Conformation Judge as well as a Dog trainer, I enjoy teaching Puppy Kindergarten, Conformation and Junior Beginners. I am a believer in "Date Night with Your Dog", so figure out what you and your dog like and focus on it! |
