After 25 years of showing performance horses in jumping and dressage I acquired my first show Samoyed (2nd Samoyed) in 2010.  Luckily the co-breeders believed in his potential and mine and took me under their collective wings to introduce me to the joys of the dog show world.  After starting puppy classes at Blue Springs with Robin Hug and Ron Horn, I started attending drop-in conformation classes with my puppy.  I was lucky to learn from some of the best: Robin, Ron,  Cindy Hutt and Deb Miller to name a few.  I also will take private lessons from respected handlers when possible. I finished that first show dog shortly after he turned 2, and also finished his Grand Championship, a Rally title, CAA and CGC

 

Fast forward 12 years and I now have 3 home bred champions finished out of the Bred By Exhibitor classes, a Grand Champion, and a NOHS Best in Show.  I still make a point of studying handlers I respect from ring side when I am at a show, and feel I am continuing to learn new ways to engage a dog and show off their strengths.  I hope that I can help new and seasoned handlers with their dogs in conformation classes, and I want to pay forward all the help I personally received.
